Fuel Scarcity Queues will reduce soon - NUPENG   The National Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG) has said that the long queues being witnessed in petrol situations due to the ongoing fuel scarcity would soon reduce. This was disclosed on Wednesday, March 30, 2016, by the South-West Chairman of NUPENG, Alhaji Tokunbo Korodo. “Going round some depots in Lagos, I observed that loading was going on and more filling stations are selling the product at the control price,” Korodo said. “Some filling stations that are selling between N130 and N150 will be forced to sell at control price when the market is flooded with petrol. “If NNPC can keep the tempo of the loading till weekend, more filling stations will have petrol and the queue of motorists at filling stations will reduce. “The corporation should ensure that it keeps on pumping petrol to both major and independent marketers’ depots to reduce the scarcity,” he added. Discover 7 major causes of low sperm count in men Low sperm count and infertility in men is more prevalent than most couples think. People tend to think that if a woman is not getting pregnant the fertility issue must be with the woman, but that is not necessarily always the case. There is an equal chance that male factor infertility can be the cause of a couple’s difficulty in achieving pregnancy. While women have many tests to try to find out the cause of infertility, men have only a couple, the sperm analysis being the easiest. Below are the major causes of low sperm count in men…..   Weight Obesity can impair fertility in several ways, including directly impacting sperm and by causing hormone changes that reduce male fertility. Radio frequency electromagnetic waves (RF-EMW)   A study performed in 2011 (Fert. Nigerians want Buhari to be magician For the benefit of Ibe Kachikwu and other ministers who do not know how their cars and generators are fuelled, let me relive my experience in the filling stations between Thursday and Sunday last week. I had missed Dr. Kachikwu Wednesday’s ‘I am not a magician capable of conjuring the availability of fuel’ because I left Lagos early to attend the inaugural lecture of a colleague at Babcock University. On Thursday morning, I opted to return home and work from my library after almost three hours of fruitless effort to join Lagos-Ibadan express road through Otedola estate gate as a result of traffic gridlock created by those engaged in panic buying of petrol and possible sabotage by independent oil marketers trying to exploit Kachikwu’s gaffe. But the option of working from home was aborted by lack of electricity. I then chose to walk across to a nearby filling station with a 10 litre keg. What I ran into was a fierce battle be

Lagos-Ibadan expressway is jinxed The rains are here. Thank God. The heat was becoming unbearable and many times I thought perhaps I was in hell because hell cannot be hotter than this. I hope America will experience the same kind of heat we had this year  in Nigeria to shut the loud mouths of those members of the Republican Party who deny the scientificity of global warming. Throughout the dry season from December 2015 to March, many of us anxiously looked forward to substantial work being done on the Lagos – Ibadan expressway. But alas nothing was done and hundreds of people are still dying needlessly on the most travelled road in Nigeria. Even if our government does not care for the people using the road, it should be concerned about the economic damage this bad road is doing  to the country. This road is the artery connecting the major port of Lagos which is also the economic nerve centre of the country to the north and other parts of the south of the country. Rudim

Our problem with the budget, by lawmakers Buhari Details of the budget will not be available for President Muhammadu Buhari until mid-April, lawmakers said yesterday. Presidency sources said Buhari will not assent to the document unless the details are attached because the lawmakers merely sent a summary to him. The Senate Appropriation Committee is working on the details. House of Representatives Appropriation Committee Chairman Abdumumin Jubrin said there was nothing unusual in passing the budget and sending the details to the President later. He said this was done during former President Olusegun Obasanjo’s tenure. According to him, given the “lots of omissions” and being the most difficult budget we’ve ever dealt with”, the least the executive should do is to be grateful to the lawmakers.  ”I think if they’re not thanking us, they cannot throw stones at the National Assembly,” he added. Jubrin said: “We in the National Assemb
