Tinubu ‘Resigns’; Dumps Title as APC National Leader (Press Statement)   On Sunday, September 25, 2016, Bola Tinubu, a former governor of Lagos State and the national leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, issued a statement in which he repudiated the national chairman of the party, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun. In the statement, Senator Tinubu rejected the title of national leader of the party saying that the chairman, Oyegun had betrayed the ideals of the party and called for his resignation.
